Importance of Oral Hygiene

Of all the things you can do for your health and wellbeing, initiating and maintaining a regular and thorough oral care routine is one of the most important. Your oral hygiene routine does more than make your teeth white and your breath fresh, it is essential for the prevention of plaque build-up, gingivitis, gum disease and your overall health. A few minutes twice a day is all it takes to achieve and maintain your oral health between your regular check-up appointments with our dental team.

Flossing
Brushing alone cannot remove all your plaque build-up and particles of food, particularly hard and sticky food that becomes caught in the fine spaces between your teeth, under your gum-line, or within braces. Flossing these spaces at least once a day is the most effective way to remove what your toothbrush cannot reach.
